This structure is probably one of the most inspirational products of man in the Americas. It was created at a time that only manual labor was the only means of creating something so massive and sturdy.

The use of stone was used to create mythical creatures combing a bird and a snake. Its really interesting how the culture was so talented in architecture.

This sculpture caught my attention due to the use of shapes, I like how it has balance of a more circular/ wavyness to it and as you go lower to the base the shapes become more square and rectangular.

I really do love looking at the murals from this ancient city, I really wish I would understand the perspective of these ancient people and how much impact the animals had in their lives.

I always found masks to be fascinating, they imply a sense of a trade in identity. But every mask can be a means of identity for cultures and their traditions.

Just seeing the implied balance in this small figure really does show that these ancient people understood the principles of design.

This vase seems interesting in its use as a medium, I don’t think it really is the direct focus of the individual that created it, but the designs carved into it really makes it remarkable.
